Hmm... quite a few times I've spawned near a desert with continents/normal settings/non-deset civs but it's just been a few tiles surrounded by grassland. Also Idk why deserts should only spawn near the middle of the map, many people forget that their is "hot" deserts (Sahara) and "cold"...

This is why we need bombers/artillery to be able to bombard and destroy tile improvmentd like in the older Civs, it would be a realistic and fun way to stop uranium deposts

Perhaps someone should make a mod that adds units for Xbowmen to upgrade into, such as long-rifle armed skirmishers and then snipers?

I honestly don't know why people always bash on Steam, it's the biggest online game vendor backed by a prosperous company meaning it has almost every single game you can think off, and personally I have NEVER had a problem with Steam, only annoying thing is you have to have internet to start it...

This is the biggest I've ever gotten, along with my only science victory to date. Of couse I have barely played Civ5 for months so I don't know if this is that good. The two mods I'm using are "Infoaddict" and the "Unofficial Patch & Vanilla Enhanced", both of which do not make the game easier...

Wow, I'm just supirsed not as many people voted for monument... I always go monument > scout > Great Library that way I can get tradition > aristocracy > liberty > citizenship and found a second city to produce units while building the GL in my capital.

So I've been playing CivIV and V for a while, and after getted :mad: from V I dug out my old copy of CivIII:Gold. Just wondering if this game has a reasonable population after all these years?

Same (non apparent) reason you cant bomb infra. ect. IMHO Civ3 had the best ari attack system in the series. There were a lot of things about Civ3 that I carried on to later games... like the colony system. If they had that in Civ5 You wouldnt have to found 500 cities just to get enough...
