I took a look through everything and realized there is another decision worth making. Is it worth buying a galleon now? I'm considering waiting until I see what some scouts will turn up, I'm hesitant to go wild buying colonists, and I don't want to hold onto large sums of gold for very long...
Hopefully I can knock out the next round this afternoon. I want to re-read through the thread, and analyze the save briefly before I do so. We'll see how that works out; there's a very good chance I may turn around in the next few seconds to start watching football for the rest of the day.:D
I...
Sure, I'll attach them here. The "retake" map is cow glitched, and the "II" map is pig glitched.
I didn't want to ruin the surprise. The file size should have given it away, though how many would recognize that?
I should have posted this map instead.
Of course, once my RNG gets past these...
I wanted to see what effect these settings would have. It's possible that low sea level and two extra AI would work better. It's more likely that normal sea levels and no extra AI is the way to go.
I did not edit the start at all. The only tile I've edited in all the maps was a single tile in the Pacal map, making an easy start even easier.
It's interesting to me to see the dichotomy between players stating this start is too tough, and those same players (or players of comparable skill)...
I was planning on mixing farms/cottages on the non-hills. I have the one from settling on top of it for myself, and I would mine as necessary; given the low food, I might run camps on one or two of the hills that I won't be working in the first place.
Also, there was a cow I missed by moving.
So I rolled this map yesterday. I didn't save it, but I just had to play a couple of turns.
Here's the starting screenshot.
And here's what happens when I move the warrior 1W.
Ok.....
Well, I guess I'll settle on the fur. But wait, there's more.
9 beavers. Ah-ha-ha-ha-ha.
Thanks for the tips so far.
I wanted to get the next round played sooner, but I've been a bit loopy between the pain from and the painkillers I've been taking for an infected tooth.
Hopefully I can tackle it in the next couple of days.
Now that I have Minuit, it's time to tackle some...
I've played out the next eighteen turns. I was shooting for twenty, or forty if I was on a roll, but real life called and I was forced to save.
As had been discussed, I made the silver miner my top priority. There's no sense waiting for Minuit before picking up this first one. I would even...
So if I'm reading this right, I should grab an expert silver miner, and look to grab a second soon after to settle the second silver source.
I like that site because the city will produce four food, allowing me to run someone to pick cotton without worrying about the food.
What are your...
Paradiso Immortale is a cookbook styled series based on some of the popular cookbook series to grace this board. The name, which translates to Immortal Paradise, has no meaning to the series, beyond describing the difficulty level it is intended to tackle.
The rules of the series are fairly...
It's probably one of the strongest starting locations I've seen since first playing a few days ago.
I definitely see the strength in picking up a very early expert silver miner.
What about the choice to work the silver in the interim? Should I have been building liberty bells? My gut...
