I am glad its working for you now. I am partial to civ2 tot. I have vista now... I hope it will work for me! BTW civ4 runs like a scared rabbit on my new pc. dual core quad with 8 gigs of ram.... Happy gaming!:)

I use winxp here. I had the same problem that is mentioned here. What I found out is that the saved game files need to be saved in a different folder than what comes up as the the default save folder. TOT in my case has the default save folder as C:\Microprose Software\Civilization II...

Mars map not working properly. When i start the games as american it comes up and says i have been defeated. Any ideas?

I have ben playing ever since Civ 1 and I find the number of barbarians a bit unjust on the higher levels. Plus the little buggers can heal and move at the same time. I try to scout out locations where they have access to bronze or iron. For example: By the time I have built say 12 axemen...

I cleared the cache dir under application data\my games folder..... uearred the files to the "custom assests dir". I do not even see the mod as a choice to load. Thanx for the help, I give up on this one.

Well I must be missing something i tried that, still dos not work:confused:

Un explorer got to tools/view/hidden files and folders/ check "show hidden files and folders.

I have installed the Canada Mod that is floating around. it appears to load, but is not playable... What am I missing here? Thanx
