I just installed CIV 5 and the game would freeze and crash at random times. I would always just reload the game and it would work fine for a while. Now I'm at around turn 260 and now that I try to load my save usually the game just freezes right after I press the "begin your journey" button...
I'm trying to load this game with BAT-mod and the game says that I have to load it without a mod... So my question is that is there any way I can run the save with BAT-mod on? I'd really like to try the save but I'm so used to my mods :D
I know there are some people in these forums that know a lot more about computers than I do so I'm asking for your advice!

Well for some reason wouldn't allow to uninstall Beyond the Sword... So I just spent 30minutes searching for errors in the xml file and finally found it (or them, there was 2 errors)! So now worries anymore... :king:
Don't want to hijack this thread but don't feel like my problem is big enough to warrant a its own thread:
I somehow managed to screw up my XML files so now that I try to start Beyond The Sword I get a box which says:

As I stated before: One doesn't need extensive micro to be successful at Emperor! Maybe at Immortal and definitely at Deity one needs to micromanage, but not at Emperor... Just take a look at how TheMeInTeam plays his games. He doesn't spend hours on micro (in fact he is finished with a game...
These kind of trick most certanly aren't neccesary! I have just recently moved to emperor (maybe I could have made the jump a bit sooner) and have now won 4 games straight without any micro or "cheap" tricks. You do have to adjust your game a bit but don't have to ressort to what you (and I for...
This was my return to CIV IV after a year and half long hiatus... I played at Monarch cause i felt that I needed to get a feel for the game before moving back to Emperor (where I previously had trouble winning).
Domination Win:
Next time I'll move to emperor and take some screenshots so you...
Has there been any talk of King of The World #9? I have been away from these forums for awhile and this looks like an interesting series and I would really like to participate to the next round. So any idea if there will be a next one and if so what leader will be presented for us?
Thank you :)
I've never posted in these kind of threads but felt like now is a good time to start :)
I started this game on monarch because I had failed with a couple of emperor games before this. I've won on monarch before but after a 6 months of not playing civ I thought I have to re-evaluate my skill...
I steped down to Prince just to see how I would do compared to monarch. The game went a bit too easily to be honest. I REXed well and secured a good portion of land and was able to build The Great Wall, The Pyramids, The Stonehenge and The Oracle so I was pretty much set for going cultural. So I...
I think the best solution for airships is to simple make the able to bombard city defenses and remove the unit strikes. I think the city bombard aspect for airships would even be somewhat historically accurate. Airships were very inaccurate so they didn't often hit military targets but instead...
