ok thanks I haven't tried a custom game yey

It seems every time I get it going well, it pops up 100 turns left I can't do a lot in the remaining time. Is there a way to adjust the victory conditions to remove the number of turns limit?

at the top of this page, in the bar, click on downloads, you'll find it. It made a HUGE difference for me, now tah I can see what I'm doing, the game is alot more fun

the patch seems to have fixed it, I haven't played a game just started one to check it. I'm using my daughter's computer as my HD crashed. I'll try installing my 256mb video card and playing a quick game after she goes to bed and see how the rotation and angles work. But at least now I can see...

When I start the game The whole background is dark, even where my people have gone and around my cities. After a few 100 turns it slowly turn light a few squares at a time.

yeah same thing civ2 is easy civ4 is killing me if I could just see the terrain it would be worth playing but playing against a black game is hard

why is it that I can't see the terrain around my cities? It stays black even after my units have passed over it. after a while like 3000 turns it changes to whereI can see it or if I zoom out to where I cant see individual units I can see it
