I agree with DS that this is not a poll to implement but a poll to see if it should be worked on more. Perhaps we can all come to a compromise. Maybe this propasal can be stabalized by some elements from the past DG structures...

I agree with Strider and CivGeneral. Where as this plan sounds very interesting and even seems to fix some problems, it is a very drastic change. No person can say that they know this proposal will work as many of you believe it will. There are already ten different ways of conducting this...

Well, this thread is sort of overlapping the other one on multi player DG. Anyways, I agree that we would have to raise the difficulty level. I dont think 8 civs is that bad. 6 opponents... Lets just not go larger than a standard map.

Could we have a section just for general information, like a newb section?

That's great Cyc. We should figure out how to get it read more. Maybe we should have a newb-central sort of thing. If the DG website ever gets renovated we could use that. I have some server space actually. I could wip up a site for newbs and put it on my domain until DG gets its site done...

Well... Personally, I am rather skeptical. Mostly because I am eager to begin my first DG so I am being rather selfish when I say that I don't like the proposal... However, still, it all seems to be a utopian proposal. -This is supposed to work like this and this works like this... Im not so...

Alright, my inexperience is showing :blush: :sad: , as long as the presidency isn't losing really anything I agree that allowing the "PM" to appoint is a good incentive :)

Where to start... I like the idea of a 2 team DG. It sounds very interesting. Though, it hasn't been done before and would require a lot of planning and figuring things out. So I like the idea of waiting until DG 7 to do it. We could be discussing how we will do it through out DG6...

I agree with cyc for the most part. A head of the EO and CNO is fine but the last part of Octavian's post I am not to sure about. Why lessen the powers of the president by allowing the PM to appoint people to offices? I dont get that. Also, Maybe it should be amed something else.

I dont think these bugs are a very big deal. If the AI doesn't build armies it is better for us. You could say it is compensation if we move to emperor. Submarines bug... Ya well, Stuff happens. :)
