You can, but a free governor and nobleman is awfully hard to pass up.
I've attacked AI treasures before simply to get those powerful bell producers.
And I'll do it again!
This is getting away from bug reporting, but it does seem to be a bit of a disconnect that we can breed cattle in the colony itself, obviating the need for a rancher in the field, but can not do the same for the other types of livestock, especially the fowls.
I do agree with Link that sometimes "more" is "too much"
I don't agree with some of his specific opinions (I like the olive/rapeseed oil, for example), but I do agree with the overall thrust.
The numerator is how much of a resource a unit will produce in a given tile; the denominator is the maximum they could produce in any workable tile in the city
So it says 3/3 for Peat Cutter there because that would be the best possible tile in which to employ a unit as a peat cutter.
Unsure if this is a bug or working as intended:

I am getting intermittant, unreproducible CTDs. Sometimes after playing for a few hours, sometimes a few minutes.
This would be somewhat less annoying if there was a way to may the game autosave a bit more regularly; is there an ini setting to increase the frequency to every turn?
EDIT: found...
You can hover over a good in the city screen, and it will state what the domestic demand is (if any), as well as the price paid on the domestic market, in addition to the price paid in Europe, Africa, and Port Royal.
