I suppose that globe map aka ball shape map will be the new thing in the next civ. They expand and tweak the era system like they expanded/tweaked districts. Hard to say how. But I expect more separate eras and maybe leader that also change by era?

I allso have this kind of error. It usually come very often late in the game, but newer in the beginning of new game. So the bigger map and the more units the worse the situation gets. Sometimes the game just crash and sometimes it crash and start visual studio debugger. Machine win XP ATI 1800...
