How do you get to tools on vista?

the problem is though, when i go onto Bts and go to load a mod, and load my one, Bts goesw to restart, then just doesnt do anything, so i have to click on beyond the sword again and repeat the process, but when i do, it lags out and i cant see wether its loading or not, and it just springs on to...
