I use most of the Balance mods, some economy mods and some more general balance tweaking since the vanilla is so broken.

The problem with Civ 5 is that transitioning from Civ 4 to Civ 5 makes Civ 5 feel like there's alot missing which made Civ 4 have so much longevity to its games. On the other hand, if you compare vanilla Civ 4 to Civ 5, you do appreciate Civ 5 more, but on the other hand, Warlords and BTS added...

After having alot of games in Civ 5 now, I'm starting to see all the glaring issues and I'm beginning to dislike the useless AI in this game, it really isn't fun playing against dumb opponents. I'll be going back to Galactic Civilizations II and Civ 4 and hopefully Firaxis will sort out Civ 5...

Might aswell play it now, and get some practise in for when the bigger patches arrive.

That's quite a silly thing to happen. Hopefully Firaxis fix this.

You can disable the intro movie. If you're using Windows 7, you goto C:\Users\*****\Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5, open UserSettings.ini and find SkipIntroVideo = 0 and change the value to 1. You'll still get a black screen while the menu loads however.
