Emperor with a dream start is just NOT emperor at all. Same thing as playing emperor with reloads. Emperor play means being able to beat the game at least 80% of your games without reloads with any kind of start,AI's, map position etc. Your situation happened to me on immortal. Won a few then...
I wonder why you follow it then.. I think you should be more polite. The guy is making a nice report of his game and he never said he was pro or anything.
:goodjob: to this thread from me
It's not ridiculous at all. i just thought you knew the difference:)Barbs attack the AI's as well as you. The difference is that the AI's has archers by default at Immortal difficulty(if I'm not mistaken) and you don't.. So barbs off makes the game a bit easier for you. Same with huts, AI's odds...
Immortal is a big step from emperor. The best advice I would give is to try and play it only if you can beat emperor most of the times WITHOUT reloading or regenerating. Advice about barbs, huts etc is meaningless when you're supposed to be a pretty high level player(you're trying immortal right?)
Mmmm call me a noob but I just can't possibly see how a wonder heavy victory on deity is easy to pull off... I'm also failing to see how obsolete's games are not offering top of the line skill:confused: You must be a super player. Poor me still only plays immortal so I can't judge correctly...

Well since you're playing prince I would suggest that you wait until construction..Settle a few cities , work on your commerce and then attack with a lot of catapults:cool: Why rush when you are playing on a difficulty in which the AI's can't possibly keep up with you on research? ;) . However...
I would say that it depends on the "kind" of the trapped civilization.. Obviously if you trap Shaka or Monty early on without having at least +4 on diplomacy ,chances are that you are heading straight for DOW:D. Apart from these cases avoiding DOW's from trapped civs is not that difficult. Just...
