i have tried this nvhardpage thing and it works for me, although the graphics look a bit duller now, at least i can scroll around the map and zoom in and out without suffering a 3-second delay every time i move the mouse around... all firaxis need to now is sort that patch out so that we won't...
there's no need for showing off how good your hardware is. This thread is specifically made for the fx5200 chipset, so don't come in here telling us all to upgrade...

the game runs really slowly on my machine (i have an fx5200 pci-e) too, turning the graphics options to lower settings doesn't really work. I have not encountered any of the weird reported CTDs and system freezes, but it runs really really slowly, bordering on unplayability.

go to the microsoft website and get their latest version of DirectX. Your system's DirectX is screwy and it won't update because the installer cannot find the current version information. maybe microsoft have a solution for your problem...

i dont really like the meso scenarios for some reason, and WWII is indeed, as Qpdaj stated, very intense.. i've started it but only gotten a few turns into it
I've played this conquest twice now and i found myself rushing to Jerusalem in the last 20 turns or so. Last time i played i was able to return both the Shroud of Turin and the Crown of Thorns. A Franks spearman was so friendly to come wandering around on my land carrying the Crown of Thorns...
