Actually, for Civ 5, they'll have the time machine ready and will actually plop you down on Earth in 4000 BC. They're still working on the immortality drug, though. :)
The "No thanks, we'd rather win the game" also comes up with the space race techs if they're going for that. They aren't going to trade stuff to you that allows you to build space ship parts.
I think Baraque's effects are a bit too high, for what are basically tourist locations. Natural wonders are going to be gains mostly in commerce and culture. I think Natural Wonders will be more akin to some of the random events (Great Beast, Image on a Wall) though with slightly greater...
