No you need a level 4 unit. It has to earn and have experience pionts spent on it in the form of promotions. They worded it this way because then it wouldn't interfer with the way that traits (like aggressive) add a promotion to certain units when they were biult. Its not the number of...

yep, when you install warlords, it creates another icon, so u can select either warlords or vanilla when ever you like.

I love the idea of being able to ingore UN resolution, and have negative relations etc. Prehaps take it a step further and have military action eg (strike on a resource or city) if warning are ingorned or leading to full scale war. :)

Well warlords is an expansion not a stand alone game, hence you need civ4 to start with.. Why would you want to play warlords if you aren't a fan of civ4? But i am sure in a few months they will bundle the warlords and civ4 into one package.

What if you had a sightly different concept of leaders such as: You could choose Alexander and play as Macedonia, or a leader of Athens and play as Athenian or a Spartan leader and play as Sparta all under the heading of the major headings of "greeks".

Ok my advice is to wait a couple of months for the this new technology that is coming, then buy a system that you could buy right now. That is stay a step or 2 behind the latest and greatest and you get the best value for money..... :)
