This thread is fascinating. *snip* sentence removed, warned for trolling. The_J 53% of the Steam reviews from people that own the game are negative. There are multiple threads on Steam discussions calling for the end of civ-switching, the end of the ages system, and the implementation of a...
Yes, I expect age transitions to go away. The game in its current state is a failure. 4x people playing 6, 2x people playing 5. Continuing terrible reviews on Steam. If they want me and many others to pay the ridiculous price they are asking for their game a complete rework is necessary...
No, I am good. I still play Colonization almost daily, so I was just checking your site and Malwarebytes and Spectrum said no way. I knew that couldn't be correct. It is working on my home and work pc now.
It's fine on my home pc. My work laptop was blocking thru Malwarebytes as a phishing website. I turned that off and Spectrum would not allow me go to the site either.
The developers need to just flat out say we are never changing the era mechanics so people can move on. Those that like it can pay for more DLC. The bean counters can then decide if Civ 8 goes back to the 1-6 formula or if 7 was hugely profitable despite 40% Steam ratings and eras stay in 8.
Would you please provide clearer instructions for installing the bitarray module for us non-programmers. I have Python installed but cannot get past the bitarray installation. Thanks in adavance.
Thanks for the nudge in the right direction, but I think that is backwards. It multiplies the hammers by 1.5 but not the food! I figured it out by reassigning citizens to different terrain types. A city with 2 extra food and 2 hammers takes more turns to make a settler than a city with 0...
As far as I can tell, the settler and worker cost and production times for exp/imp civs are no different than for any other civ. I thougt at first it may have been a glitch with marathon, but I tested all possible combos of exp\imp civs on normal and could see no difference--settlers required...
I am unsure if I like the BM graphics. It is difficult to tell various terrains from one another. Also with the mod installed I have a crash to desktop problem for the first time. I get near 2000BC and the game randomly crashes. I did not have this problem with the original graphics. Is...
I can't get any music to play in game properly. The only music I get is the Baba Yetu song at the game options screens. If I max zoom in to a city, I hear music but if I zoom out one tick of my mouse wheel the music stops. Any thoughts on how to fix this?
I only hear music if at max zoom in on the world map. Since one can't really play at this zoom, is it possible to change this setting? I can not find a setting in the options or xml. I haven't explored the Python at all.
P.S., I have a SB Audigy 2 with fully updated drivers.
