I'm running it on my laptop, which is at 1600x900. The start button does not bring up the taskbar, everything is hidden behind alphax. Quitting out of Alpha and reopening fixes the problem, but only for a while.

It would be interesting to see what they would redesign technology-wise if they were to make a second version. I know with each new Civ, they have had to rework the technology trees, and add a lot of detail to some of the steps between the Civ 1 techs. I would love to see them forcast new...

I have the same kind of problem... but I can alt-tab to other programs for the first several minutes of playing, but after a while, Alpha stays on top and I can not see the other applications... I do not have the opening movie enabled, if that helps. Any suggestions?

Ha! It is funny how these things will catch your eye. Every now and then, I will find a snippet of text from one of the technologies, and try to call folks on it!

How might one go about changing the effects of those social choices a bit further? Like, can you make 1 point in research boost lab speed by 20% instead of 10?
