I have the same problem and i am almost certain that this is a lack of ram problem. Try playing on a continents map or something, cus maps like perfect wold and similar are much harder for your ram to handle. But i remember that there used to be a thread on how to give civ4 more ram to use. Cheers

Not that i am any computer expert, but i as far as i can tell, that processor of yours is kinda week for ROM. But i haven't even read your problem so don't take me to seriously :)

As i understand, there will be no religion and espionage (and probably the same goes for corporations) in Civ5. So for one, i would be glad if ROM included those. Well, that's all i can think of for now actually... Cheers, JanK

Hello! I have a slight problem with this MOD. I am running ROM 2.81 on CIV4 BTS 3.19. I have so far installed no modmods. Ok, so I get in to the costume game menu (in ROM) and i try to start a game (gigatic, snail). And then the loading screen comes up and it freezes at initializing. I tried...
