It's just not practical to mount a long campaign to go after the rival civs on the big continent far away...I already trashed the one neighbor that was giving me grief on my home continent...besides, he was parked on the only coal deposits anywhere near my SOI...ahh how fiction...

I'm on a planet with 2 big continents and my foes are just simply too far away to mount a practical amphib campaign.
