You can use your advisers to see who is trading with whom, but I don't believe you can know when someone is bought into a war with you, or someone negotiates an embargo against you.

I suppose you could stop at 50% and let the rest of the world suffer. I have an AI who hates me with -4 heathen religion, and then I have someone with -3 I declared war and +5 They care for brothers and sisters of the faith. This stuff is fun but there needs to be some rationale.

My problem with them is that too often can reley on coast and river trading. It should be more effort to connect them. I don't like the early automatic coast trading.

I'll start with my next turn because I need to catch up on what has happened so far. I'm a little lost.

Can someone just please tell me where and what to get - I need a new lap top quick. One that will run Civ IV, play the movies, let me do my other work, without overheating and turning off, and stuttering, and being a general piece of crap like the one I have now Thanks!

Maybe they need to just increase the cost of late units a great deal, but make them about 10 times stronger, to make them as precious as a single early unit or two. You shouldn't be building 1 tank at a time.
