I don't find this to be true, late game he's always asking regardless; however he's always pissed off so who knows. :lol:

I disagree, after my ecxperiences he gets pissed from you asking him for units, gives you 50% off and then you still get -1. He states you're a drain on his military. So if you use the king to give you a few 1/2 price military units it's the same as refusing a tax increase. + (-1)

I think it's funny that you can piss the king off to crazy levels and he won't do anything. The king currently with my game is at -32, it's nice to know he won't do a damn thing until I declare WoI. With that said there is no reason to work with him or keep him happy. What's the highest...

You never understood or read the post or thread... I was talking about the pedia files, the ["It would be nice to build...",] statement was just a thought and wasn't to do with the topic. So uh, great you responded or decided to argue with my after thought off topic

That's irrelevant...it also states it's replaced by cannon. There is no logic there. Ultimately they just need to smarten up with the pedia files, they're confusing. It would be nice to build artillery, I don't think it's in anyway unrealistic for the colonies to gain that technology either.

How hard is it to have them add it as an option; quests or random events are optional in civ4 right? I say it's just plain laziness, an excuse to not to it because it's more work. I read Jesse Smith's reasoning for the exclusion and it sounds like a cop-out. I recall some of the random events...
