Happens to me every save when my save file gets larger than 1400k, when I save (or auto save) the computer says fatal error, memory allocation error. I lose the save and the game shuts down. I play the huge earth 18civ mod. Everything legal, no pirates.

Vanilla Civ4. My units seem to be stuck at 10/17 exp points. Winning new battles doesn not increase the exp points for that unit. What am I missing? Thanks!
I agree, They should not be impassable, but very hard/costly to pass, and history pans this out. If some resources were available mostly in the mountain squares, then it would be even more worth it to build a road over them. Perhaps a unit promotion or tech achieved could access this ability...
Great, thanks. In my cursory reading of this forum, I have not seen anything related to these types of changes however. Does anyone actually know how to do it? Or has anyone made changes like this before and can detail to me how to do it?

Wasn't sure just where to put this, but I have 2 questions. I just started with Civ4 from Civ1 and 3.
1. Is it possible to modify or create a new unit with new or altered abilities? For example, a transport able to carry 6 instead of 4 units that would come available later in the game or...

In the original CIV, I could access one of the ini files and change where the game looked for the CD to a folder on my harddrive. Can the same thing be done for CIV4?
