    Should chopping be toned down?

That just goes to show that it IS unbalanced. If it's the only viable strategy for succeeding, it's overpowered.

    Should chopping be toned down?

Right now, it seems that the strategy of chopping out a few workers and settlers quickly to get some cities up is a bit overpowered. Do you think it should be weakened? How? I think that just fixing the settler-switching exploit that lets your city keep growing might be enough of a nerf, but I'm...

    Sweet New Governments!!!

Federalism shouldn't be a republic. Federalism is just the belief in a strong central government, not a specific government or economic system.

Infrantry: one of the core problems of the game

Well, combat modifiers will be in C3C.

    Sweet New Governments!!!

Well let's see - 2 new civ traits, 2 new difficulties, locked alliances, giving a unit attack multipliers vs. specific units, the enslavement ability, 2 new specialists, an improved combat system, a hugely improved editor (they say you'll be able to make scenarios as complex as the conquests)...

If you won't call it the u-boat, how about changing the Early Sub to Submarine and changing the regular Submarine to Hunter Sub? Submersible sounds good too.

Have you guys checked out the new FAQ and features list at civ3.com?

It tells a lot of new stuff about the game. It's confirmed that you'll be able to make scenarios as complex as the conquests, you can add damage multipliers, and more! Sure sounds cool.

More Combat Modifier Flags ala 'Amphibious Attack' Bonus

Yoshi, you'll be able to do this. Check out the updated features list here: http://betaciv3.humongous.com/conq_features.cfm

    Sweet New Governments!!!

I really like how much the abilities make sense. The fascism system sounds cool, it's a dynamic that couldn't have been done before. Hopefully the editor will include scripting, allowing all sorts of stuff.

Why the Request: Units Require Improvements?

Yes, I know. I would just like to be able to require improvements for units. That would be a great feature, and it wuold be quite easy to implement.

One feature the editor MUST have

The ability to make improvements and small wonders obsolete, like you can with great wonders. This is a glaring omission from the editor, and probably would be pretty easy to implement.

Will we be able to make improvements and small wonders obsolete in the editor?

Like with great wonders? I've always felt that this was a glaring omission from the editor, and it really should be included.

Why the Request: Units Require Improvements?

Even if you don't want it in the main game, surely there's nothing wrong with making it an OPTION in the editor.

This sounds like a cool mod. Unfortunately, I can't get Civ3 working right now (computer is acting weird), so I won't be able to try it for a while. But, I read over the excel file and I did notice one thing in particular: "Early Submarine" sounds lame. How about the U-boat?
