if i make a scenario is there a way to limit the technologies in the tech tree so research stops at a certain age?

Ive been trying to get the files in civ4 to show up, but i havnt been able to get it to work, then i realized that if someone sent me a copy of their installed data thatmight work. could someone do that? -email me at sowhatworks@hotmail.com

after i download a new unit somone has made off these threads am i supposed to extract it to a folder? if so whaich one?

But when i go to unpack, then to the file i am only able to open it so how do i unpak it?
