As I pointed out in my post.....
I recognize and understand what the OP was initially commenting on. I was merely offering my own comment that *I* personally had no need of such tools. *I* often like the unknown factor to better emulate the unknowns that all of our historic leaders faced...
This is one of those things in Civ6 that I hope the developers will eventually rectify for those who wish it. However, in my mind, it seems a bit more 'real life' as it is now.
In the real world, one can never be sure what will constitute the sort of culture that will attract other cultures to...
You can easily tell which promotions a governor has when you open the screen for all govs. It clearly displays where they are assigned and what promotions they have. When you look at the promotion descriptions *per* gov, it will highlight which promotions are next available. This screen is a bit...
I find it very disappointing that we still have discussions about which civilizations are more *worthy* than others, or why certain civs should be avoided because they come from an area already well represented.
I enthusiastically welcome any civilization offered because no matter how they...
The general norm is the basic fact that your data is out there and has been for decades. The specifics of how to address that are myriad and complex.
At what level of security are we comfortable?
How much transparency do we want about where our data goes? Will each individual user research each...
I think we can all agree Firaxis acted poorly. I think we can all agree Firaxis owes an apology (for what its worth).
What I can't get over is the level of shock and indignation because a company failed to report it was doing what everyone else was doing. Heck, Firaxis was already doing it...
I think it should be noted also that people are generally not clamoring for any more European civs. Mostly, I hear people call for more Asian, African and native American civs. I couldn't care either way...a civ is a civ and there is not a single civ someone could suggest that I would not find...
You seem to be under the misconception that I am excusing Firaxis and Red Shell, which I am not. But people are acting as if their data was secure before Red Shell, and is now suddenly exposed. People are acting as if this is something new.
Was it sneaky? Perhaps...though the original "terms"...
As a sovereign state, Italy doesn't come into existence until the 1860's. From the end of the Western Roman Empire until the creation of the modern Italian state, there are a number of versions of Italy that could find a home in the Civilization franchise. Of course, thats just me.
I will never...
Of course you have a say in the process! You have a choice to not use their products. You have a choice to not be on the grid.
Don't get me wrong, I believe in full disclosure, and I believe Firaxis should have sent clear notification that they now included Red Shell as one of the parties...
My point is that I never felt "tricked" because I always operate under the assumption my data is being collected, processed and used in a hundred different ways.
How dare you! Many brave Social Justice Warriors fought for that removal for our collective safety....or something.
>>head scratch<< Wait...what made it so terrible again?
