For those of us who don't own the game, Civilization is free to play this weekend. And if you're looking for a reason to finally purchase the title, 75% off everything released so far, has gotta be pretty sweet. Woot, woot! Someone should announce this on the main page...

Forgive me if I overlooked something, but is there somewhere I could download this without needing to use the mod browser? My laptop is too old to install Civ V, and I don't have Internet at my flat. :(

I hate to disappoint you and will have to load the game to double check, but if I remember correctly he says, "Oo, sochi ka?" which would mean, "Oh, it's you again."--with unbridled disappointment. Poetically, you could think of it as, "Lovely. Now your fraking face." ::grin::

Terribly interesting and agreeable review. Best review I've read to date. I agree the game has great potential, but first it needs those tweaks. Can't wait for the mods and expansions. Gr8 formatting.

Perhaps it is. But it's all in good fun. Somewhat back to the main topic, does anyone know if the demo will also require internet activation? My laptop couldn't dream of meeting the minimum requirements for ciV, but my desktop's offline...:sad:

Yeah, you're ******ed for wasting that good dollar. I'm not believing that I missed the announcement and freebie. I'm loving the lite version though. I'd most gladly pay for the full, but I'll need to make a credit card first. :(

Is the deal over? I'm seeing conflicting information ($0.99/free) in iTunes, but I'm having trouble downloading it. There also seems to be a lite version... Was that there before?
