I played a game where I spied on Willem van Oranje, as he built the Dike in every coastal city. I saw his hammers: 1 on each water tile, as if Willem had the Moai Statues in every city! Willem can't build any Dike until he learns Steam Power, so the question is whether he can survive long enough...

I get a Diplomatic Victory via the United Nations in 1860 AD T300, before the end of the war. This is my 1st win at Emperor, normalized score = 51529 (2nd, behind my Domination Victory at Monarch in NC270 Napoleon).

Looking at your games, you have a lot of wars. My game is mostly peaceful: I did declare one war, but the AIs never started any wars. Suddenly, after I end turn on T253, the war horn sounds 8 times. "A has declared war on C! You have declared war on A! You have declared war on B! D has declared...

@konata_LS I declared war with Cho-Ko-Nu, but I added War Elephants for the 2nd half of my war. After I won the war, the game became peaceful. I played some turns in Bureaucracy and Serfdom, 2 civics that I almost never use.

I would to settle in place, to leave room for a 2nd city on the river; but some of you mentioned the 3-hammer hill, I want to settle 1 north to get 1 center + 3 hill = 4 hammers; then Mao is expansive, so 4 + 25% = 5 hammers toward a Worker. My warrior will move southwest, then circle my capital...

I retire from my game; normalized score = 5586 I attach my saved game! This is my 1st and only game at Emperor difficulty, and now counts as a loss. I reached 14 cities and became the largest civ on the map, but I got stuck in my last war. My enemy declared war in 1685 AD T247, while I had 14...

@konata_LS, thanks for the advice. This is my first game at Emperor, after I won a few at Monarch. I continued my game and gained some cities in another war.

I saved my game in April and didn't open it until July.
