What scenarios would you like to see in Civ7?

I was imagining something similar, a scenario based on the Byzantine-Sassanid War of 602-628. I consider both Khosrow II and Herakleios to be good enough leaders to make it into the base game as the leaders of Persia and Byzantium, and such a scenario could complement their inclusion.

    The India Thread

While there is some overlap, I wouldn't necessarily mind seeing a Timurid civ next to a Mongol one - there are certain distinctions, after all. For example, in terms of warfare, the Timurids were gunpowder users. We could also distinguish them through leaders by giving one a conqueror leader the...

    The India Thread

Personally, I'd like to wave Gandhi's India goodbye and see a three-way split of of the Indian blob. My prefered split would be into Mughals, Mauryas and Chola. I feel this split could rather well capture the cultural and historical diversity of the subcontinent - we see a timeline split...

What leaders and/or nations do you want in Civilization VII?

Václav is simply the Czech translation of Wenceslaus. They did not mean the president Václav Havel (nor his successor Václav Klaus, who still happens to be alive), they quite obviously meant Saint Wenceslaus, the Duke, when they mentioned folklore. While I absolutely do endorse Charles IV as...

    Probably not the third :mischief:

What leaders and/or nations do you want in Civilization VII?

I don't recall there being much of an uproar when geographical packs came out in New Frontier Pass though? Naturally, the geographical intent can be easily masked by calling them the usual "Civ 1 + Civ 2 pack". And if there is something wrong with the particular order I wrote in the post, I...

What leaders and/or nations do you want in Civilization VII?

I've found myself with a bit of free time to design more! This time, it'll be pre-expansion DLCs. I'll work with them including 10 Civs, and I'll try to have them form geographical pairs. I'll be following a pattern of a new civ and a staple civ in each pack. DLC 1 - European pack Ireland - A...

What leaders and/or nations do you want in Civilization VII?

A curious choice - as far as I'm concerned, neither Austrian leader we call Francis I seems to be a particularly interesting historical figure. Calling Francis I the Holy Roman Emperor a leader in the first place would be generous. In the lands of the Habsburg Monarchy, his wife Maria Theresa...

What leaders and/or nations do you want in Civilization VII?

The reason why I chose him back there is a matter of plain and simple personal preference, not optimality. I have read your points back then, and I don't dispute that Diocletian was a flawed ruler and that some of his undertakings were wrong steps, his senseless persecution of the Christians...

What leaders and/or nations do you want in Civilization VII?

I proposed him as an option in my own list of vanilla Civs about 30 pages back :mischief: That dilemma has a fairly easy solution! Let Parthia become the ancient horse raiding civ that the Scythians are in VI, and you have a Zoroastrian Persia of sorts next to Shi'a Islamic Safavids.

What leaders and/or nations do you want in Civilization VII?

If we go for Tsarist Russian prime ministers, I think Sergei Witte should be considered, too. Frankly, I don't find any particular appeal in Christian Roman Empire - Christian civs are dime a dozen. Rome is appealing to me partially because of its ancient polytheistic faith (and their...

What leaders and/or nations do you want in Civilization VII?

Didn't the title of Imperator simply mean military commander in the times of the Republic, rather than an emperor? As far as I'm concerned, the first true imperial leader should be Octavianus - or Augustus, if you will. Unless that "imperial leader" is meant as a wordplay - then I apologise for...

Gaius Marius, perhaps. He is a rather notable republican era figure.

What leaders and/or nations do you want in Civilization VII?

Your comment is kinda bolstering the point he was trying to make while sounding like a disagreement. He did not seriously propose making the Moorish emir a Spanish leader, he illustrated on his example why he dropped another alt leader from his revised list - precisely because it would be a bad...

[LP] Leader Pass: Great Builders - 3/14 Developer Livestream Discussion w/ Potato McWhiskey

A bit too late to the show, but was Theodora's agenda shown as well? I wasn't watching, so I kinda hoped I'd find out in the thread, but noone mentioned it yet.
