Well I might be getting an ATI Radeon 9250 with 256 MB today, which should be a big improvement over my GeForce 4 MX 440 with 64 MB. As for having a Celeron, I've never really had any problems because it's a Celeron.
My mouse is an optical mouse, and I read that a Celeron works just as well too. I might try installing a new video card tomorrow, do you think that might help?
The game seems to run fine, but when I'm in the actual game, the mouse movements seem jerky and the cursor seems to jump all over the place. These are my specs:
Processor: Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU 2.00GHz
Memory: 766MB RAM (technically 768 MB)
Card name: NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 440 with AGP8X
I'm not sure if this has been asked or not, but when I try to play Civilization 4, the mouse movements are very jerky and seem to lock up intermittently. My specs are as follows:
Intel Celeron 2.0 GHz
768 MB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce 4 MX 440 with 64 MB RAM
Windows XP
