I was trying to load the scenarios from Total Realism 2.4 a mod that seems like it would require a lot of memory

I put it in public maps, but then its in scenario, and everytime I try to start a scenario my game shuts down.

After I download the map, where do I put it in my Civilization IV folder?

I downloaded it, and put it into the MODS folder of BTS but everytime I load the mod, it adds only some of the features, such as the leaders, and a little bit of the new techs, but no new resources, and the roads have only one choice. Why is this happening?

So If I want to build cottages its worth it? Is it great to build cities on top of tribal villages (friendly) and blue circles? Because a good amount of times I built cities on blue circles but my production was pathetic. So where should I build my cites to get great production, and do you have...

Like if I play in single player on an earth map with 18 civs when they're all revealed and like into the industrial era the turns start going really slow. I press end turn and then it takes like 10 seconds to go to the next turn. Is everyone like that or just me?

Well I downloaded like 20 scenarios and then extracted them in the mods folder, but they dont show up in the ingame scenario folder. Did I do something wrong, and if I did what is it?
