Thinking about it, I gotta pick the least popular choice.
eXplore: the second-best thing Civ6 is good at, in my opinion. The eXploration is pretty good. There's an incentive to eXplore (clear barbs, discover natural wonders, figure out new settlement spots, pop goodie huts etc... and many...
I think 'balancing' the game is never going to happen. It's part of the fun of Civ, that not all civs are equal. Although, admittedly, some inequality is a little extreme - but those are exceptions. Some of the criticisms on these forums makes it sound like it's the norm.
I agree with most of...
It doesn't mean nothing to this game.
When designing a game like Civ, you have to look at and research (almost) every type of military variations that exist. But of course you cannot put everything in. And others you tweak to make them into the unit type you're looking for, for the sake of the...
Again, yes. It's more of a gameplay feature than a historical one. If the choice comes between gameplay and history, always gameplay. It's a GAME, first and foremost.
Also, I feel like you have no idea what I was referring to when I used the 'relative' argument, but that's okay
What does this have to do with my point?
The game scales units according to the strengths of the units around them - those an era or so to them. It doesn't do that on an absolute basis. Doing so would cause chaos that would make the entire concept unplayable.
I'm sorry that you cannot get over...
I said the range of a slinger to other units of the same period... compared to the range of a tank with the units of the same period.
How far a historical slinger could hit compared to an archer's range is WAY better than how far a tank can hit compared to a long range bomber.
If a tank is to...
CQUI is the most common one, but it changes a whole host of other things. I think there's a 'mini' version where you only keep the production panel...
Basically, it merges the Production panel with the Queue mod; with the Gold and Faith purchases all being on the same panel
To be fair, the relative range of slingers Vs. other units of the era does compare to the range of a tank and, say, a bomber.
Besides, there aren't really any 'melee' units in today's world. It's more of a gameplay mechanic than an historic one
I don't think that's how it works. You can't just get an animator to test and fix bugs.
Also, the two issues are not related. You may be annoyed by the 'feature' when bugs still persist (and new ones are formed by the patch), but that's not because they were 'too busy' making a pet the dog feature
For me, the late game micro. This is especially annoying because I am a completionist. No matter how tedious a game gets, I have to finish it...
Sometimes, I deliberately keep myself between 8 and 12 cities to avoid too many things to do.
PS: I have thought a LOT about this. The only ways I...
You basically said Canada if Russia isn't there? So... if Russia is an option, then Russia? Kikiki.
I'm just messing with you.
You're right. Canada is now insane! A civ that can truly thrive in Tundra. And the no Surprise Wars thing really helps you at higher difficulties in the early game...

Well, this wasn't aimed at YOU specifically. Apologies if it came out that way.
Since fans are not a monolith - and I agree - then it should be easy to excuse yourself from my critique if you don't fall under that umbrella
I understand where you're coming from. But once again, this is not the point of the thread.
If you don't want to support the devs, that's up to you. I just don't see the point of saying this here
I don't mind Firaxis being eurocentric in this case, for pragmatic reasons. They've already overrepresented Europe in the number of civs compared to every other region. That's done. So if they're going to make a map, then a map which can comfortably fit the most civs in each region would make...
