I'm not playing it now because I got invested on other games, and I dont' have a lot of free time to play, but I still plan to go back to it when I find the time.
There are 35.000 people playing right now on Steam, and this is a multiplatform game, so the number is certainly considerably larger...
I'll be back to rant in a few days then. I already started a game, and I'll be mad as soon as I win an accidental cultural victory, despite my best efforts to avoid it. I'll try the mod that fix the luxuries though, then I'll give up on this game mode entirely. Fun mode, but it's ruining the...
I don't think streamers have much to do with them ignoring Scotland. They certainly looked at more than just what streamers think, and one thing about Scotland is that, even though the leader ability is a sad joke by now, it isn't a bad/unpopular Civ. Telemetry probably shows that Scotland is in...
Did they stealth fix the "What would it take?" button in the trading screen? That one is annoying.
Also, I would love to get some confirmation that the AI is improving luxuries in the corporations mode, before I commit to a game with that thing on.
Based on what they said when they presented these units, they weren't even planned to be added when Firaxis started developing the pass, being something they decided to do last year, so it probably wasn't feasible to add cultural variation in time for the update. It's also quite obvious by now...
The ability is great, and the design is certainly fun! The problem isn't the ability itself, the problem is that there's no such thing as a War of Liberation casus belli in the game, because the conditions are never met. The AI simply doesn't conquer cities, with the only exceptions being really...
Reading this thread makes me really glad that I'm completely immune to hype by now. I learned how to keep my expectations as realistic as possible, and take what devs say for what it is: marketing mixed with excitement for their own work. They will exaggerate, not necessarily out of malice. The...
It was never a huge strength of the AI, but it got noticeably bad in that game. I usually buy luxuries I don't have, and I really needed those, because of war weariness, reason why I remember it. It was odd to be unable to buy even a single copy in a game with 15 Civs, because the AI didn't have...
I'm pretty sure I had this problem in my Gaul game, before the C&M mode came out. It might be true that the problem happens only when C&M is active since it was released, but I'll just point out that whatever Firaxis did to cause this, they did it before the January patch.
If it's deliberate, which I doubt, it's a pretty bad idea. The player already has an advantage over the AI, because we happen to have a brain (it's really OP), so it doesn't make any sense to keep the AI away from monopolies. It also break the whole trade mechanic, considering that luxuries is...
Considering that zombies spawn were an unit died, it might be a valid strategy to avoid killing units inside your territory at all cost, at least near your capital.
I think it's more because Sarah actually tried to pronounce it as good as possible, while Sean Bean clearly doesn't care as much. He's Sean Bean, that should be enough.
As a Portuguese native speaker, let me say that Sarah's pronunciation was good enough, considering that João isn't easy for English speakers to pronounce, while Sean Bean's was downright disastrous.
