[Col] Settle The World (Colonization like fan game for the Amiga)

Looks awesome and captures a chunk of the charm of the original Colonization's pixel graphics. It's something remakes like FreeCol have unfortunately missed. However, to be brutally honest, the Amiga choice may be Hard Mode for the dev, and an anti-UX hurdle for players. Not only due to the...

    Modern Infantry

They're from my other mod, Revenge of the Barbarians. Link's on my signature! I just added a unit class, adding as little as possible. It works on all versions of the game.

    How is the AI ?

Perhaps that's tangentially related to how Civ6 AIs don't quite comprehend Eurekas, since that and HK stars are similar concepts. But it could just be a matter of tweaking numbers and making stars harder to obtain by the player. Just speculation, have barely played.

    All Things Star Wars

You have been deciding what I think and repeating the same, long-debunked points over and over pretending you're effectively debating ever since our very first exchange. I have been repeatedly trying to disengage yet you continue to engage me. Good luck to you. :goodjob:

    All Things Star Wars

That's perfect. If you can't perceive the genre differences between, let's say, The Expanse, Star Wars, Avengers and The Little Mermaid, I'll leave it there. It's all chaos devoid of rules of any kind to you. There's no point in debating anything if you'd be content Finn hurled a Star Destroyer...

    All Things Star Wars

You have to start wielding a lightsaber without knowing how, of course, but neither Luke nor the younglings were pitted against a reasonably trained darksider when they first picked up the thing. And about weight, I mentioned weightlessness in relation to the blade. There's a matter of balance...

    All Things Star Wars

So you keep going ahead and assuming eight million things. You talk about hills to die on yet you are the one coughing up walls of text defending one tooth and nail. I didn't even go into matters of realism or physics. While sci-fi universes have levels of acceptable plausibility, not even that...

    All Things Star Wars

No problem with thinking that. I don't think you're in position to judge whether I can provide my opinion on any given subject. I wouldn't presume to suppress that right, myself. Powered melee weapons (shock/vibro stuff) are not the same as energy melee weapons with a significant weightless...

    All Things Star Wars

Amen to everything. As I said, character underdevelopment is rampant in this trilogy, across the board. Or just schizophrenic (i.e. TFA: Who are Rey's parents? TLJ: Rey's parents are not important! ROS: Rey's parentage IS SUPER IMPORTANT!). Also the waste of good actresses as almost literally...

    All Things Star Wars

If you're not going to explain anything, then don't say you did. Not that I'm expecting any explanation. It takes more than a soldier's fighting skills to handle a lightsaber, a unique awareness primarily due to the weightlessness of the blade and its immense lethality. I'm not making this up...

Sure, it wouldn't be possible taking into account that nonsense restriction. After all, it's extremely difficult to make a spaceship go up... It requires supremely advanced navigation.

    All Things Star Wars

That underbelly thing is a bit of a non-issue, just like the siege dreadnought thing of TLJ. Least of all in space, but even in atmosphere, it's just a matter of pulling up a bit or gaining some kind of altitude advantage.

    All Things Star Wars

Stating something isn't explaining it. You merely corrected me saying he used a lightsaber twice instead of once. If you think Finn was well developed and good representation, well, who am I to argue with personal opinions. Character underdevelopment issues are rampant in this new trilogy...

    All Things Star Wars

Yeah... I really don't have any anti-black biases a USian might have. I don't have anything against Finn for being black, nor think a black character is necessarily underdeveloped due to their race. That's pretty nonsensical. I understand black characters are particularly meaningful to a black...
