Unable to start the game from the DVD-ROM

Any ideas? When I try to launch Civilization IV an error dialog appears: "Please insert the correct DVD-ROM, select OK and restart application" I have the DVD-ROM inserted. Suggested support link only speaks about CD-ROM 1 and 2.
