This issue isnt fixed yet, i just got a map with a massive polar area, i dont have a savegame atm but just start a few games in gigantic/perfectmongoose...4 of 5 maps have massive polar areas...its not really so big of an issue, but also afaik its not so hard of an issue to fix, check this, this...

The city still grows because c2c have a LOT of buildings giving food, maybe to allow cities to grow larger than in vanilla...im not sure exactly why...and yea, on lower than deity there is a freaking lot of gold even on ancient ages...

Not to mention the 25 happiness he can get from buildings, look at that list of options...usually that list get that long by ignoring that kind of buildings like forever... NOTE: it says 9 unworking citizens because thats all the population that city have, thats correct...he cant have more...

Im not sure but the description still feels like as if you dont talk about deity difficulty...i can be wrong... And out of curiosity, why helenism and not budhism? For that "Pankration" free promotion? is it good enough to outweight the extra research?

I started a thread for deity/huge/snail+ mode tips and i was asked to post my suggestions here too IMO most of these tips can be overkill on normal speed, normal size and/or normal dificulty games... Also i forgot to add to my original post a note about my comment about activating...

Yea and lets not forget that animals cant attack but some can DEFEND pretty well, there are bears and elephants with strengh 5 and even the wolverine have strengh 3, wich 90% of the time if its sleeping on a city can kill those anoying homo neanderthalensis...(damn homos....oooops...lol, jk jk)

There is another way to make vassal states more interesting, make it so the annexation option only appear after lets say...100 turns a state is your vassal? maybe adding some dificulty like...mmm...having him happy with you up to some minimal point? plus a bit more spice like...he needs to have...
