I have a Toshiba Satellite and have the same problem. Best as I can tell from the intraweb Toshiba notebooks (and many other notebooks) have propriatory drivers. For me, I can only load the drivers offered by Toshiba's support page. right now, I'm trying to find out if the driver I'm locked...
