I played a game pre-patch a month ago.. with upgraded (/w barracks) city attack Incan warriors (what's their name... 100% vs archers), I was normally able to defeat a city with say 5 of these units vs 2-3 archers. Now, I tried the same strategy after the patch, and all 5 units get slaugthered...

Perhaps the only last solution would be to build a city on the island, connecting the city directly to the resource via road (though this shouldn't be neccessary, I mean, they could ship the marble over via boat.)

Also, I have a road built on the quarry, of course, the road goes no where. ;) perhaps buliding a harbor might link it?

IN addition, the city is connected via trade route to my main city. I'm unable to utilize the marble in my main city or the city where the resource is in. Perhaps it's a bug, since it's across the water?

Yes, that's right. The city is on the same continent/land as my other cities, connected via road. The resource is on a small island off this city, but is within the cultural boundary (ie there is a quarry built on it, I'm using it's in my city.) I've not traded it. I'm still looking as...

i'm trying to build the Taj Mahal and other wonders; one of my cities has a quarry built on marble, yet this city and the rest of the cities do not have access to the resource. Is this because the city has access to the marble across the water? is there any building I have to have so I can...

Figured it out. It's because they can only started to be built in the classical or before era. Matt

I read that I can only be building one world wonder at a time; even this doens't seem to be the case since I'm building no other wonders in any of my cities.

I have the Pyramids already built in this city (my main city); as well as an aqeuduct. I can build this wonder in other cities; however, I can't in my main city (note this is not because I'm building it somewhere else right now). Why not? There's no red lettering indicating I'm missing...

I just finished a standard map game with 5 civs left -- I took out 3 other civs between about 1000BC and 1500AD. Got tired of that so switched to a space race win / culture. When I played Civ 3, I was able to take over cities by culture relatively easily. Seems a lot harder in Civ 4...
