I was doubting the video card would work, just a hope. So do you think the average mid-range computer would handle it without a video card? Or do the mid range ones usually have one included? I had my current system built about 3 years ago. I could reuse my case, power supply, CD drive, etc...

Yes it always comes down to money. I'm hoping for the cheapest option. I don't play any other games, except fro Civ, so I've never had a need for a gaming rig. My computer worked fine for Civ III, but I guess IV is much more evolved. All I really need is a home computer for Microsoft...
