    RFCE++ Beta

    I wish, but I don't really have the skills necessary to merge this with RFCE 1.0. The first step I tried after my last post in this thread was to add in the unique building styles and other new art that is in 1.0 but it didn't work out. :blush:

    Improved WorldBuilder

    Yes, to use your edited settler, war, or city name maps you must save the changes in world builder, then replace the RFCEMaps file in the XML with the XML file that is created in the worldbuilder save folder, renaming this new file "RFCEMaps", of course. To simply edit terrain and resources for...

    RFCE++ Beta

    I just downloaded the file, loaded Germany and played a few turns without any problems. Anyone else have Ezzlar's problem? Can you describe the Northward Route UP and post the pedia for the Birkebiener?

    RFCE++ Beta

    Below is Morholt's Beta 3 with updated City Name Maps and a few other small details such as the tweaked Bohemian and Swedish UHVs mentioned in the change log for Beta 4. In the future I will to try to merge this file more closely with RFCE 1.0 and hopefully produce something like what Morholt...

    RFCE 2.0 Titles

    That´s a bit of an exaggeration, the Poland in the first link is definitely still Poland as it controls the core area that is Poland. The dynamic civ name for that Poland in RFC Europe would still be the Kingdom of Poland because the civ that originally holds the bigger title maintains it even...

    RFCE 2.0 Titles

    Spirictum, I agree with you on just about everything as probably a lot of others do too. You have stated in your two posts what I´ve been aiming for since the beginning of the "titles" concept. I have only one objection, that maybe extra stability from titles would be redundant considering...

    RFCE 2.0 Titles

    Exactly right. The inhabitants of the Kingdom of León were not "Spanish" by default, the word "Spain" comes from "España" which comes from "Hispannia", the Latin term that designated the territory that is today Spain. Naturally, it was the best way to describe the Kingdom that emerged from the...

    RFCE 2.0 brainstorming thread

    All of this is discussed in the New Map Project thread. The dimensions are going to be something around 90 x 140 but possibly smaller. That´s a huge increase from what we have now but most of the extra space is going to be for the enlargement of the geographic area that the map already...

    More Wonders

    :lol: :goodjob: Throw up for consideration*!

    More Wonders

    So with Gods and Kings I've been thinking about the potential for religious wonders and it's kind of disappointing that the developers really didn't delve into all the possibilities for wonders that boost religion. I mean there are plenty of faith-boosting wonders, but there is only one wonder...

    Unbelievable: 25% discount on Gods and Kings!

    Saw this in another post, thought it was a big enough deal for its own thread. Really useful since I hadn't bought it yet. Link below http://www.greenmangaming.com/s/us/en/pc/games/strategy/sid-meiers-civilization-v-gods-kings/ The voucher code is there on the page, "CIVIL-IZATI-ONGOD" Merged...

    New Religion; protestant reformation

    Yeah, with the counter-reformation, relations between Protestants and Catholics should have more penalties than relations with either of those two and an Orthodox civ. The Pope should become annoyed with an Orthodox civ but furious with a Protestant civ, for example.

    New Religion; protestant reformation

    Very interesting. I think this is where the Counter-Reformation should come in somehow. From Wikipedia: "The Counter-Reformation was the period of Catholic revival beginning with the Council of Trent (1545–1563) and ending at the close of the Thirty Years' War, 1648 which is sometimes...

    RFC with a New Map?

    I'm not a big modder myself, I'm certainly not one to go and release a playable version for you all, unfortunately. I'd only like to generate a little interest in this idea for those who have computers that can handle this sort of thing (such as myself). It's sad that there hasn't been a single...
