I have the 3.19,and the mod loads just fine. I only get CTDs after the 50th turn or so.The only weird part when loading is that although the font is different than standard BTS,the main menu picture is the same.

I don't have any modding experience,just starting out... How can I add new events or modify existing one? (i.e. adding more choices to the event that says "soldiers have shown mercy to your troops would you a) sign a peace treaty b) continue war" )
