Sea Dog change that should have happened but sadly no one thought of it

You'd have to make a mod that does it; as far as I know, you can't capture cavalry units with Mongolia or builders with the Eagle Warrior either.

Several ideas to expand the complexity of the strategy

More than just fun, I want it to be rewarding, to feel like a real struggle.

Several ideas to expand the complexity of the strategy

Knowing the outcome of a game after the first 20 turns puts me off playing. I don't mind a little extra complexity if it keeps it from being so easy to predict the ending without having to flip a coin and get good returns near the deity level or overpowering civilizations. I also made a Catan...

    ModBuddy Download Link?

You don't miss much, just arts, but you could get the basic steam version when it's on sale just to use the modbuddy.

    ModBuddy Download Link?

You only need ModBuddy for the ArtDefs blp; the rest can be done with any text modifier (I did it with the basic notepad on my computer). I've also created several mods that you can modify, or if you need more help, feel free to share what you have and I'll help you out. You can only get...

Several ideas to expand the complexity of the strategy

I'll share some ideas I've had: 1. Remove the Palace as a capital. The capital will be an invisible building whose function is to grant the city the title of capital, but now the palace will be free to be used in many different ways. For example, loyalty could be changed depending on the type of...

    10 different governments for Antiquity - a non-eurocentric approach

I share my opinion. I think governments fall into a mix of power concentration (autocracy, aristocracy, institutionalism), foundation of authority (charisma, tradition, legalism), production system (free, mixed, directed), and priorities (religion, capital, order, social welfare, identities...

Civ VII Post-mortem: Crafting a redemption arc

I don't think cities and towns are an improvement. Previously, the difference lay in the terrain and the desire to make it grow. They're just more unnecessary limitations, like the settlement limit.

Why did civ7 get rid of unit promotions?

I don't think its scale justifies giving up a more complicated combat system that favors strategy over unit production and cost.

Why did civ7 get rid of unit promotions?

True, even if you don't think it's considered tactical, I should have used strategy. I'd say the final solution to the problem of stagnation in war fronts was aviation to directly damage cities, the atomic bomb, and finally, stopping wars between superpowers and instead supporting smaller...

Why did civ7 get rid of unit promotions?

Throwing your combat forces in without a plan just to die is not tactics, it's a lack of tactics and it was used because they couldn't find a way to overcome the trench tactics.

Player stats, sales, and reception speculation thread

In effect, the game is decided from the start. The competition is lost, and therefore, the interest. And the real snowball doesn't mean being better than someone else (something that many don't fully understand), just having been lucky.

Why did civ7 get rid of unit promotions?

I prefer to play with only pawns because losing rooks and bishops feels painful and since I'm bad at strategy I prefer that the opponent can't exchange his pawn for a queen after crossing the entire board, square by square, without me being able to prevent it.

    Increasing Empire Identity

and it makes more sense if the leader you chose has no connection to your new civilization, as if he were an opportunist (a role that suits leaders like Catherine II and Machiavelli who either had no connection to their people or never truly ruled).

    Increasing Empire Identity

It feels like you've failed and suddenly your entire culture or civilization has been wiped out and replaced by a new one occupying its ruins and to further humiliate you, they've appointed you leader.
