Can someone explain to me how you're supposed to play this mode? I've only played it with an AI ally, since it doesn't really seem feasible to win alone. What victory conditions do you go for? 1 city wont generate enough science, domination and conquest are out since you cant gain territory...

Yep, one alt-tab and its silky smooth again. I suppose that works as a temporary fix.

I have basically the same problem. The game runs just fine up until a wonder movie or deplomacy popup (which has the leader movies). This screen just chugs along, and then the game continues to chug even after the screen goes away. After a while it goes away, and if I click to close the...
