Well what should I do when this happens, if a warmonger is my neighbour should I only build military units and a worker and skip buildings for the 1st 100 turns, do I send my warrior back to my capital?
I used to play GvK on emporer and never had this problem but in BNW At either turn 64 with 7 units or turn 75 with 9 units the computer declares war on me and I have no chance at holding them off, I usually have about 3 units but 2 are out scouting and 1 is garrisoned.
I just had the shittest...
4-5 aswell.
If I want to claim resources I put an army there (lol kind of like what Russia wants to do currently with nuclear subs) .
If they move a settler there I cap it.
Just went on a rape and pillage spree with Attila.
Civ is happy only so much unhappiness in the pic due to the razing, this was on king, see pic.
Its an easy strat just build battering rams mainly and a little of whatever else to kill barbs, a worker in the cap and just connect luxs...
Yea I just played as the huns, they are OP at the start I took a CS at like turn 10 from weapons upgrade ruins and you only need 2 battering rams and 1 horse archer to take any city instead of 3 catapults and 1 warrior and you get them a lot earlier, the only problem is all the unhappiness...
You take 1 melee + 1 spare and 3 ranged + 1 spare. The spare isnt neccesary its so you dont have to wait to heal and you alternate them between taking over cities.
You bring in your melee for shielding and also for vision, you dont set up ranged behind a hill or walk around their city with it...
LOL the battering ram is *%^#ed.
I saw it for the 1st time yesterday and I am like ah this will be okay only 10 str.
Comes to my city and takes off 3/4 HP in 1 hit!!!
I think I might start playing them, probably the OP unit like Immortals in Civ III.
As rome I dont wait for Iron, I build 3 ballistas and 2-3 warriors and send off 3 ballistas and 2 warriors. If I manage to get them, I use legions later to connect roads, by the 2nd war they usually have swordman.
I had an odd game where I rushed two civs early having met 4 total, one jumped in with me and I got "you have fought beside each other against a common enemy". I then became friends with both the remaining civs on my continent. I did not get a penalty until many turns later my army was small and...

Thanks I actually got the early game down now, taking the CS helped a lot.
I was on a continent with 3 opponents and I pretty much steam rolled them, I was fighting 3 at once at one point with ease. you would think my military adviser would be pleased but he was still telling me to build more...
