Senhor, I had to move to my older computer. Setup up civ 6 and my saves as noted above, got the red mod in the saves. There is a problem. So on two different computers with differing saves, same error. Info for you. Obrigad

Raen, new version not working with any of saved games. Dido in GS, or Joao II saved. Get message mod not working. Unsubscribed loaded not Portugal game (hard to find for me) games works fine. Resubscribed, mod redownloaded, still get same message from Carthage. Any ideas.

And the DX12 play button worked for me too. Random is the worst. Desktop icon always works but if your really stuck, run game directly from steam installation, /steamapps/common/civilizationVI.exe (whichever version you want). Good Luck

Eman is right. I don't like beta drivers side I researched this issue in lots of places. All had the same advice, get rid of the GeForce experience. When you look at it they are offering an opportunity to start your game from there. That means it must communicate with steam or your Civ...

I'm having the exact same problem after having not played for a week. Only thing that changed is Nvidia driver. Gonna roll it back. and see what happens.
