The author knows best of course! But I would love to see more detailed stories personally rather than a quick finish which may run the risk of seeming rushed compared to the rest of it...
I felt the exact same way when I got to the end of the previous chapter when i read this in about August this year. Been subscribed here ever since then for new updates :) Very high quality work here.
I did kinda like that they did this to bts. Bizzarely (perhaps) one of the features I missed from Civ 2 was the way the spaceship worked in that. Though it was a lot less obvious (if I recall correctly) what you needed to build in what ratio to get a good spaceship in that game. Very long time...
Having religion can be good for relations. One game I played recently, Egypt founded Judaism. It was the only religion on their continent, all the others were founded on my continent (not all by me). Even in 1947 when the game ended, that entire continent and the one to the south of it were...
Ah yes I forgot to mention spies myself. One game I managed to stop Egypt from winning by sabotaging their spaceship components. Cost me all my gold but it was just enough to win me the game.
They can be very useful things, spies.
Creative would fit. He was quite a chap - didn't he invent modern archaeology, for one, as well as being a major political figure?
(modern archeology = scientific process, digging trenches, making accurate records. previously it was just a case of digging holes randomly until you found...
One thing I don't get is if you're in Permanent Alliance with an AI, and you take a vassal, you get a negative hit from your ally - even though they're their vassal too! Not that it makes any difference to the game at all, as permanent allies are always Friendly, I just find it weird.
Two choices really. Either disable space victory (something I've never done yet but may do one day), or go ahead and invade whoever is winning the space race if it isn't you. Or better yet, just go all out to do as much damage as you can and try for a conquest or domination victory, if culture...
Yes the score system seems a bit off. And yet... before I installed Warlords, I was getting fairly high up on the table even winning by Space Race. Yet after Warlords I've struggled to get even half way up - can't remember who my best result was, but it was mid-table.
Best way I've managed to deal with barbs is to plant an archer on a hill in between the city and where the barbarians are coming from. Doesn't always work but usually the barbs will not bypass the archer and instead attack. This is effective up to Axemen, usually this strategy still works on...
I had a similar problem in civ 3. Eventually I solved it by playing relentlessly at the higher level ( can't remember what it was now) no matter how badly I got beaten until I could play well at that level. I start to do this til about the same time civ 4 came out, and I finally got used to the...
