I like that it blocks trade routes. It forces you to clear a route with satellites to use it.
It's just that people rush to trade so fast because it's so good, they get frustrated when they can't use it (Because it can be hard to see if a route is blocked.)
You know his review is right here, right?

Until then though, feel free to clear it if it's in the way. Improvements and not dying are more important.
Later in the game you can just add the miasma back anyway.
I agree, the faction leaders are pretty bleh. I mean, comparing Napoleon or Ghandi to... some guy in charge of some fictional nation is always going to be hard, but they didn't even seem to try with them.
The Civ Fanatics forum is not representative of the average level of Civ play. I imagine many people will never move up to Apollo, as many people I know rarely play Civ above Prince.
That said, I'm sure it'll get higher as more people play, and it does sound like there's a but stopping it from...
I hope we get DLC. The idea of this withering on the vine is a terrifying idea. Like many others, I like what it does, it just needs a little more love to get to where it could be.
I mean, even X-com got an expansion and that was mostly a console game.
First off, I hope it isn't too much to impose on people to check out my game. It's only on KING, but I've recently been trying Civ on higher difficulties (I used to play IV on Emperor but that was years ago.) and I can't decide if this situation is just impossible, or if I'm just being bad...
A lot of interesting advice here, and thanks for it. I'm going to try some different variations, I'm still only playing on Price and small maps while I get the hang of things, so it's pretty easy.
I'm curious to the tall empire fans though: What do you do for coastal cities? I find it very...
I'm curious to hear what people here think about the various city location strategies.
I've always found city placement to be the most paralyzing part of these games. It took me me a LONG time in Civ IV to figure out where I was comfortable putting cities, but with V and how common resources...
Cool. I've been reading some of the other cookbooks and wondering when a new one might start. I've just started to get used to Prince, so Monarch might be a bit much, but hey, never know.
I'm in.
Boudica is more or less the perfect leader for my playstyle. I tend to to spend every moment I can at war (Some games I've probably been at war over 50% of the time) which makes her great. Aggressive is self-explanatory, and Charismatic helps offset the huge unhappiness modifiers that start to...
