I'm having this issue. 1.61 patch. Did it start in 1.09 patch? Another post says it worked until they installed that patch. I went straight from out of the box to 1.61, and didn't try multiplayer before the patch. I'm wondering if it is INI or Python or binary that is causing the problem...

I'm experiencing this and started a new thread today to try and generate responses. I notice there are at least 4 threads talking about this problem now, but no solutions yet.... Ini file? Python? Did a patch break it (some posts suggest it started being a problem in 1.09)....?

I can send chat messages to all players, my team, or individuals, but I can not chat when in the diplomacy screen or the gamespy lobby. I have a store bought special edition CD, patched to 1.61. Is there a bug or some specific issue anyone knows about? Does anyone know what part of the system...
