Has anyone else noticed that companies don't appear to spread in version 1.0? If you conquer a city that starts with companies they even go away permanently with no way to bring them back. Anyone have an idea as to why this is?
Hi,
If anyone is still lurking this forum, does anyone with modding experience happen to know how to modify the stability regions for a civ ie change a region from an orange to a green province?
One thing to address will be resource placement. Given the weakened outer rings it seems like a needless impediment to put certain resources in the outer ring of cities that have no other city spots nearby them. Why put the sardinian pearl two tiles away instead of one for example?
Hello all,
Getting back into Civ IV after many years again. I've been looking for the best AI improvement mod and this seems to be the most developed one I can find. I'm wondering if this has ever been merged with the graphics improvement mods as well ie varietas delectat and blue marble? I...
That makes sense with food I suppose but with hammer and commerce yields its just frustrating. There's already a lack of hammers as it is and you can get unlucky with slaves
Hi there, for anyone reading this i'm desperately trying to enjoy this unfinished gem as the rest of you. If anyone knows why, I just want to know what's with weird tile yields in certain parts of the map ie carthage only gets 2 hammers from its initial horse pasture instead of the 3 it should...
I received an apostle as the Han. Not sure if thats intentional, but I thought it was pretty neat. Representing the Nestorians I guess. I don't mind access to those sweet monasteries.
Question about some of the resources on the map, are they intended to be just outside of any city's BFC? IE the fur in Gaul, the honey in the Caucasus, the silver at Khara-Khoja, and the pearls around Oman.
Not sure how unusual, but Judea got lucky and is now fourth in score, just conquered Antioch from the Selucids, and has stayed friendly enough with the Romans to avoid getting attacked so far.
The Qin goals are pretty simple but a bad economy and slow growth of cities initially due to unhappiness makes one fail just a wee bit after the dates. The terracotta army can be finished around turn 65, probably earlier if rushed for right away, but that would make it more difficult to defend...
Hello There! It appears the second UHV for Qin is not firing. The third one does and it tells me I have 8/8 provinces, but it does not check off the specific provinces for the second goal.
