I've been having the same problem. I believe the problem is that there is a memory leakage, meaning the game is just sucks up all of you RAM.

After playing the game for about 2 hours on a huge map, the game suddenly freezes up. It seems like the game just sucked up all of my RAM at around the year 1940. Has anyone else experienced this problem? AMD 64 3200+ 1024 Ram Ati-Radeon 9250-256mb
