I'm curious if there's a way to bind the auto-end turn function to a button or even a check box overlay in the game. Anyone that toggles it frequently knows the nagging little issues.
Just now, I just started 5 games in a row with continents that stretch from pole to pole.
I'm not sure I've played a single Continents game which generated an acceptable map. Naval travel is blocked both North and South by all/most continents stretching all the way to the poles.
...this...
Title says it all. If you've had a district pillaged, you know. You have to take many turns to rebuild the entire district and whatever you may have built within it.
Couple that with the fact that your builder can just swoop by any other pillaged tile and repair it with no build penalties and...
Ahhh. I thought you always had the opportunity to get one of them. I have been playing on "huge" (rather than "standard") lately. So there's just the handful of prohets to be had then.
Perhaps I'll focus more on it. I'm a man of science though. :P
Thanks! The religious part of the...
Perhaps I'm doing it all wrong but I played a couple games where I successfully created a religion, I was just focused on money/science so I never really advanced it.
The last few games, I can't seem to start a religion.
I get to choose my initial pantheon. I place a great prophet card in...
M.U.L.E. - Best theme song ever.
^That was on the Atari & Commodore back in 1983 though, so I won't be too surprised if you haven't the foggiest idea what game I'm talking about.
...shoot. Now that song is stuck in my head again. :crazyeye:
I applied the patch, and all is well thus far except for my wonder movies. The wonder movies prior to using this patch worked fine, now they run really choppy. (Prior to using The Kangaroo's .ini settings (from another thread) I had been experiencing CTDs with ver 1.0, and game freeze ups with...
I too see no reason for me to just run right out and buy a next-gen console on release date.
I'm pretty sure I'll be buying another Playstation, but I'm not likely to buy it in the first 6 months after release. I'll see how it performs and maybe wait until next Christmas or longer before...
I just wanted to jump in and say thank you to The Kangaroo for his ini fix. :goodjob:
It seems to have cured the CTD/game freezing issues I was having in the latter part of games. After applying the changes, I played a save game for a couple of hours with no problem. Prior to that, I...
I'm with everybody else on the Halo series. It doesn't suck, but they really aren't anything terribly unique in the FPS genre. I'll take Battlefield 1942 or BF2 over Halo any day.
The game I'll bring to the table is Half Life 2. I like it, and it has some really good graphics and an OK...
LOL Who can forget popping in a cassette and waiting 10 minutes for a cutting edge game to load up? The last one I recall playing on cassette was Castle Wolfenstein, the game which the infamous Wolfenstein 3D game (first FPS ever) was based off of.
I think it was one of the best game themes...
The how old are you thread got me thinking of games from the past. I remembered a game from the early days and now that I look back it was, in a primitive way, very similar to playing Civilization. The game was called M.U.L.E., and was released in 1983 for the Atari and Commodore pc's of that...
I'm 32, but my second child (who just had his 1st b-day :) ) makes me feel like I am ancient! I've been gaming since Pong, and pc gaming since the early 80's starting with an Atari 800 when games loaded from cassette tape drives. Addicted to Civ since Civilization I.
I'll probably still be...
