Apparently Civ I has been reissued on CD and is available from CD-Access and Chips & Bits. It costs $9.95, I believe. I don't know what if any effort has been made to make it compatible with newer sound cards. Probably none, I would guess.

On a Pentium III with Windows 98 and an Ensoniq sound card (as marketed by Creative), I can't get sound to play properly. No matter what I try, I get v-e-r-y s-l-o-w sound. I tried downloading civsnd.zip. This apparently makes General Midi a sound option, but I still get sound that plays very...
